Sitting in the East Neuk of Fife, St Andrews gives you a base from which to explore the fishing village of Anstruther (do not forget to visit the local chip shop), and the twin villages of Elie and Earlsferry with their beaches and water sports. Crail has a picturesque harbour and Kingsbarns has a pretty beach and links golf course originating back to 1793.
